Raspberry girl room
This room I designed for a 6 year old who was getting a room of her own. We wanted a cheerful and bright space that could grow with her.

We are patiently awaiting the arrival of our first baby, Miss Stella Addison! As a new mom, I couldn’t wait to put together the most beautiful room for our little girl.
My goal was to have a bright and cheerful nursery for my baby girl that could easily grow with her into a big girl room.
After finding out that I was pregnant with a Girl, it didn’t take long before jumping right into decorating her nursery. I wanted to create a space that could grow with her, as well as would be calming, feminine and simplistic, all done on a very small budget.
Living in military housing, we were not able to paint any of the walls, so adding personality and character to a very blank slate of a room with white walls was a challenge. I knew that I wanted to go with a shabby chic feel, so my first step was to find a crib and furniture to set the mood for the base of the design.
We wanted an airy, bright and happy space for our second daughter. A very simple yet decorated room that is cozy, warm and whimsical.
Ivy’s nursery is so fun and girly. It has a touch of old fashion with a fun twist.
This is a project for our first baby, Emory Kathleen. We went for a vintage feel incorporating little birds throughout the room.
My husband and I started turning this room into a nursery just a few weeks before we even found out we were pregnant. It was in the midst of installing the chair rail when we found out we were expecting. We had already gone with the Balmy Seas blue for the walls, thinking it was a neutral shade that could go either way. I always loved this color paired with feminine tones, so I was hoping our little bean would end up being a girl. Luckily, she did! After we found out we were having a girl, it was on to start decorating. We were on a budget, so I knew I would have to be creative to achieve the look I was envisioning. I fell in love with the “Love Bird” bedding by Bananafish, even though it was a little pricey. However, I splurged on it and I let the beautiful print of the bedding set the tone for the Garden Party inspired theme I was envisioning. I also wanted to infuse Flea Market style pieces into her room, so many of the things you see in her nursery were picked up at flea markets or antique shops. I had a great time repurposing!
Everly’s Small 2nd Birthday Party was held at home
We wanted her room to look like it came right out of a designers portfolio, so once we moved recently I started brainstorming and decided on a modern but vintage mix, and I love damask print things so that was my fist inspiration….the mirrors were first then the curtains went perfectly, making it easy to keep a pink and blue themed nursery.
Mom Carly injected a little personality into her baby girl’s room with some big design ideas! This is no cookie-cutter girl’s nursery. Note the big wall graphic modeled after the DwellStudio crib bedding. Or how about that molding which makes the tall ceilings a little more cozy? And finally, the angled crib: Have you ever considered angling your crib? Just some fun design for thought and a beautiful, soft, original nursery to inspire…
