Ariella’s 3rd Birthday: An Art Party

My daughter’s favorite activity is to get messy, so I thought what better theme for her 3rd birthday than an Art Party where she and all her friends could go all out and get really messy!  Party goers enjoyed painting small and large canvases, as well as wood and paper craft activities, and artist themed food and drinks.  Attendees were instructed to “dress for mess!”

Baby Cushing’s Nursery

We wished to blend our easy modern style with an eclectic, vintage twist when designing our baby’s nursery.  What we arrived at was an assemblage of vintage and modern elements with lots of personalized touches and family mementos, including hand-made knit blankets, hand-painted birch trees and stripes on walls, vintage furniture, and a “family tree” comprised of old photos of relatives as children.

Zoe’s Cheerful Monster Nursery

One of the many joys of having a new baby is creating the perfect nursery that will grow with my little girl as she grows up from a teeny newborn to a toddler. I was determined to design something fun, bright and cheerful. I wanted lots of color and nothing too girly. I wanted something that hasn’t been done a million times over either – like jungle animals. Though monsters were gaining popularity, I knew our nursery would be unique.

cupcakeMAG home: Small Spaces Re-Vamp

For the last few months we have been working with the amazing Newport Cottages, The Land of Nod, Serta, Serena & Lily, Annette Tatum, Belle Patri, Drawstring Studio, Name Your Design, The TomKat Studio Shop and lots more amazing companies to create the perfect space for our latest cupcakeMAG home makeover project! You may recall our last one here, which created quite the buzz here, on Project Nursery.  It is all about focusing on the small spaces trend – creating a wow factor in a small space with big things. Our canvas is a blank 10 x 8 room which we created for 2 sisters.
