We wanted to make the nursery a place cheerful room full of love for our Mr. Noah. We were on a relatively tight budget, so a lot of DIY and TLC went into many of the decor items (sewing stripes on the Ikea curtains, making a bedskirt {not pictured}, a homemade mobile over the changing table, DIY art over the crib, sewing a fabric bunting for over the closet…). The result is a room we are happy to call Noah’s!
I wanted Ezekiel’s nursery to be colorful and fun without any real theme. I always loved patterns, such as stripes and chevron, so I started there. In order for the room to be colorful, but not too overwhelming, we painted the walls grey and had the carpets and crib grey as well. Then we added touches of our favorite colors – green, teal, orange, and yellow – in fun patterns.
Creating a bright and happy space for my sweet baby boy!
We had to bring light and vibrant colors to a nursery located in a loft apartment in New York City. The challenge was low natural light.
As soon as I found out I was having a boy, I knew that I wanted a modern nursery with bold, fun colors. I’m pleased that we were able to create exactly what I wanted for Graham’s room on a relatively low budget. Lots of love and DIY projects went into this room!
