Vintage, pretty, eclectic, and bohemian. That sums up this sweet little girl’s nursery. After having 2 boys, I was pretty excited to find out we were having a girl, and I was especially excited to decorate the nursery. This bedroom is a labor of love. We did everything ourselves, including painting, making some DIY wall decor & quilts, and hitting the thrift shops and discount stores. Found lots of great inspiration online and at local small shops and thrift stores.
This is a nursery for our first son, which we completed on a tight budget. The curtains and mobile were made by myself. The crib also has a hand made Sesame Street crib sheet as well as hand made quilts and blankets. I found the Big Bird table lamp at a vintage store here in town.
Crafty bedroom with gray and pink and a dash of green.Putting together Penelope’s nursery was one of the most fun things I’ve done. I can’t say that my husband would agree as he had tons of IKEA furniture to put together. I have to say that her room is my favorite in the house. It’s the nicest and the one that’s most well put together.
My son Nolan’s nursery.The striped wall is not wallpaper. I hand painted this wall as the feature wall in the nursery choosing a darker green matching with the lampshade & parts of the bedding. I painted this room at 6 months pregnant. That may be no big deal to some as many women don’t have a very large belly at this point but I did so it was quite a challenge for me.I still have to finish painting the bathroom, but since he’s too little to use that yet, I’m in no rush!
