Blush & Bashful Nursery

I have been dreaming about doing a girl’s nursery for as long as I have wanted to be a mother. This surprise pregnancy had me elated when I found out we were having a daughter. I had a secret Pinterest board and couldn’t wait to start decorating and shopping.
Steel Magnolias is my favorite chick flick movie. I’ve seen it over a hundred times and still cry at the same parts. I instantly thought of Shelby and her wedding colors “Blush and Bashful” or as M’Lynn called “Pink and Pink”. I wanted a soft, feminine space with lots of blush with gold accents.

Charlotte’s Jolie Wallpaper Nursery

This nursery was decorated around the Jolie Wallpaper. When I found out I was having a girl and the moment I saw this wallpaper I knew I had to have it! I wanted to design a nursery where my daughter could grow up in. I did not want her to feel like she needed a “big girl” room at 5 years old. My husband and I really enjoying decorating together so we spent a lot of time looking for just the right pieces. We also love to mix “high and low”. We spent many Sunday’s roaming around Home Goods. One of my favorite things in the nursery is the book nook. For one of my baby showers the invitation stated “we have one request it won’t be hard. Please bring a book instead of card”. Baby Charlotte now has a large library of books that we can read to her as she grows up. My favorite book is an original copy from 1952 of Charlotte’s Web that my husband gave to me as an early Mother’s Day present. I am beyond happy with the way Charlotte’s nursery turned out and I cannot wait to see her grow up in it.
