A Parisian inspired bedroom fit for a little girl

I wanted our baby girl’s nursery to not be drenched in pink, so opted for a coral, tan and ivory palette which incorporated handmade and vintage elements.

Our client desired a romantic and serene nursery to welcome their first baby girl – yet they had the challenge of dealing with a low ceilings loft space.

In true pregnant (read: “unhinged”) fashion, I decided to DIY this baby room myself, down to the bare-bones details. Which means Husband and I have spent a good part of the last two months nailing, caulking, sanding, painting, upholstering, sewing, spray painting, decoupaging, and glue gunning ourselves into complete DIY exhaustion. The result? A darling French-style gray and orange nursery that reminds me of Paris in the Fall. French Parisian Nursery completed in creamy silk dupioni crib linens, espresso lifetime crib, custom nursery wall hangings and a sweet hand-painted ribbon mural. The deep pink, rich brown and cream furniture and bedding keep it sophisticated and classic while the whimsical paintings add a playful touch.

  A French infused tea party shower for twins!  Food + Decor: The classic Ladurée green inspired the decor and accented the white and ivory linens and details. In addition to the delicious macarons, mini lemon bundt cakes and almond biscotti were served.
