Nia’s First Birthday!!
I chose this nautical theme after deciding that we wanted to have my daughter, Eliza’s, 1st birthday party on the lake in our neighborhood. With a lakeside setting, a preppy pink and navy nautical celebration seemed to be the perfect fit! After dinner, our little party guests built their own sailboats. My dad cut all the wood and my mom made the sails with leftover fabric from the backdrop. It was so cute to see a table of girls and one little boy using their hammer and nails to build sailboats. We then set sail in the lake! It was such a beautiful night and the perfect evening to celebrate our sweet girl!
Superhero inspired 1st Birthday party
We always love celebrating our children’s birthdays and making them feel special. For Brody’s 1st birthday, we wanted a colorful and cheerful and fun environment for our very fun little man. We wanted everything to be about him. He isn’t old enough to choose a favorite color yet so we just picked the brightest and happiest colors we could since he is just the happiest little boy.

Madden’s woodland themed first birthday
I did a fun army/camo theme sweets table for my nephews first birthday.
An intimate little gathering to celebrate my Livi-Bear’s 1st Birthday! Super sweet and girly, with a vintage flair.
My son always made a pirate face as we called it so we decided to give him a Pirate Party. I am not a fan of baby looking themes so went with a more contemporary look for a babies party and it turned out great.
From the time Grace was born I began planning her first birthday party, call it a sickness, I call it passion and a slight obsession. As I began to brainstorm ideas, I fell in love with a ladybug themed party; I mean how are those little red, black-spotted bugs not adorable? With the theme set, I was now on the hunt for the perfect location and couldn’t think of a better place than a local park. If you know Grace, there is nothing this little girl loves more than the park. Theme…check. Location…check. Now it was time to focus on all of the fun ladybug details, my favorite part of planning this party. The color scheme for the party was red, black, and a touch of lime green. For the tables, I alternated between two different ladybug designs. Half of the tables were covered with black table clothes and accented with a ladybug balloon centerpiece; while the other half were covered in red table clothes with black polka dots to resemble a ladybug. The dessert table displayed handmade ladybug party hats, lime green wrapped boxes which served as a display to our red and black polka dotted ladybug cupcakes, and Grace’s personal ladybug smash cake. The “Big Bugs” were given a treatbag full of candy while the “Little Bugs” were given a treatbag full of ladybug crayons and a ladybug mini coloring book. Both were adorned with a personalized thank you tag that matched the invitations. Aside from the park, there was a ladybug pinata and since it was the middle of August, a refreshing water balloon fight :) Last but not least, Gracie Bug’s party outfit was a red tutu covered in black polka dots with a personalized onesie and matching ladybug hair clip, all found on Etsy. I had so much fun planning this party and despite the heat, it was a fantastic party!
A first birthday party with a brightly colored unconventional trucks and tractors theme. Since it was in the peak of summer we opted for a fun park that had plenty of water features to keep the kids cool. We had a Hot Dog buffet for lunch with plenty of lemonade, water, and soda. Fun beach balls were available for the kids to play with along with bubbles and toy dump trucks. We had a home made smash cake and cupcakes with incredible fondant cupcake toppers.
My mom and I created a carnival themed 1st birthday party for my son, Miles. We had 10 carnival games for the children (and adults!) to play, a local children’s magic show called Shizzle Dizzle performed, balloon sculptures and temporary tattoos were made and put on, a photo booth for pictures, and a Bounce House. All of our guests enjoyed carnival food (such as corn dogs) under our red and white striped carnival tent, as well as, pretzels, popcorn, cotton candy, and sno cones to snack on. We had a “Sweets and Treats” table and our guests were encouraged to fill one of the carnival boxes full of candy before they left. After playing the carnival games, the children were able to choose a prize from our prize table and also a carnival treat box. It was a beautiful day and our family and friends had a wonderful time celebrating our son’s 1st birthday together!
Nautical birthday party in blue, red, and white.
This is the party I organized for my son’s first birthday. I wanted him to be the center of the party, and I wanted the decor to reflect that!
Jet’s “Ready for Takeoff” first birthday party!
We decided to have her party at the beach and chose a location along the channel so we could watch the boats come in. I wanted bright colors to contrast the sand and blue water.
A first birthday with exciting pops of color
I wanted a Prince themed party for my little boy. But everywhere I searched only had princess themes for girls, nothing much for a boy. So I decided to get creative and do it myself. We hosted the party in a banquet hall ,so I did not have to worry about the food. There was an elaborate lunch buffet with plenty to eat and drink.
