I created this nursery for my son Hudson, due in July 2013.
My twins’ nursery is a rustic farm theme so naturally I wanted to extend that theme into their first birthday. Once I fully committed myself to the project, I spent nearly two months pulling ideas together, crafting, and creating the perfect first birthday party for my twins. I had a blast…oh, and so did my little cuties!
I loved changing Mac’s nursery into a big boy room that I call “Farm Chic.” Navy is one of my favorite colors and I added pops of green in the art, pillows and side table. For a touch of manliness I used my husbands pig mount and deer hooves hooks over the bed.
This is our Nursery for our first baby. We wanted to be surprised about the sex, so we tried to keep the colors and theme gender neutral. We liked the idea about a farm theme room, but we also have a very modern clean style in the rest of our house.
Sadie’s coming in just a matter of weeks (July 21st!) and Mom Sarah is busy in the Netherlands preparing her nursery. Thankfully for Mom, she has a great friend Alexandra who channels her inner artist on weekends to create a fun, friendly animal mural with a white picket fence and all.
