Modern Boy Jungle Nursery

We fell in love with the wall mural, and the room fell in place around it. I knew if we did a jungle theme the traditional rocker needed to be replace with a swing. The crib bring and dresser put a modern twist on the room while also pulling a natural element with the natural color incorporated. A few elements in the room were DIY including the ceiling light, the elephant bookcase, and the palm leaf name wall hanging.

DIY Nursery on a Budget

This nursery has been a huge DIY project! It was a lot of fun putting together and has allowed us to save a lot of money! (Which is kind of essential when welcoming your first born… We quickly realized that babies require A LOT of things for such tiny humans). Here’s how we did it…
While window shopping for baby things, I fell in love with the Lolli Living Sparrow crib sheet and skirt. In that moment, I knew that they had become the inspiration for our little girl’s nursery. We wanted neutral colours on the walls and white furniture so that the colours in the crib set and accessories would stand out.
We purchased used furniture that we refinished ourselves. The amount of money saved by purchasing used furniture allowed us to splurge on a fabulous new glider!
We bought natural pine tongue and groove wood panelling from our local hardware store which we stained and installed ourselves (it only cost $50 compared to the $400 it would have cost if we had opted for the barn wood).  With the leftover panelling, my boyfriend made the decorative wooden arrows, which I then painted with the leftover paint from the side table we refinished.
For the decorations, I created the artwork “You are our greatest adventure”, had them printed and framed. I bought the letter “E” from our local art supply store and painted it pink. I also bought a picture ledge to display a few books that were given to us as gifts. The cool mirror comes from the dollar store and the canvas is a photograph of our cats that my mom had printed and gave to us last year (we FINALY found a place for it).
All in all, it was a lot of hard work (mostly for my boyfriend since I was telling him what I wanted and he had to do most of the handy work… LOL) but it was totally worth it and a lot of fun!

Levi’s DIY Nursery

We really wanted handmade personal touches for Levi’s nursery. Everything from the wood pallet wall, peg board changing area organizer, vertical hanging wood name/letters, to the toy bin bookshelf, and even down to the shiplap open concept closet area was hand crafted! It was amazing to watch this room transform into the perfect space for our baby boy. I had a vision, and my husband brought it to life.

Navy Nautical Nursery

This is our version of our little captains quarters.  We wanted to create a calming nautical nursery for our little man.  We used greys, whites, navy, and a hint of aqua to transform this former extension of our master bedroom.  Batten board, dark doors, and vaulted ceilings all made this room fit for a little captain. I love that this room can grow with logan and we can add personal touches as he gets older.  A mixed of old, refurbished, and new items all blend together for a perfect navy nautical nursery.

Beckett’s DIY Nursery

Hi I am Jacqlene, first time mom from California.  When I first found out I was pregnant I immediatly began dreaming up and pinning the perfect nursery.  A lot of love went into this room and was done on a major budget.  Im so happy with the results and I wanted to share Beckett’s nursery with everyone.  This room was so much fun to create with the help of all the people that showered our boy with love and presents.  I didn’t really ever have a theme in mind and just basically choose a fabric out at Joann’s (the necktie print) that my mom purchased for me to create the bedding, curtains, diaper stacker and changing pad cover.  From there I just went with a lot of red accents and lots of colors throughout the room.

Glamorous Pink and Gold Nursery

I created a girly glamorous nursery in mint blues, rose pinks & touches of gold. Most everything in the nursery was a DIY project or a thrift find. I wanted it to feel girly and eclectic, using pieces that meant a lot to us! My husband was amazing and helped bring my vision to life for this room!

Beckham’s Nautical Nursery

My husband and I went through infertility as well as a loss of our first child, so Beckham was our miracle baby. Despite anything going on in our lives, knowing that I was carrying a healthy baby boy is what kept us anchored each and every day. A nautical themed nursery couldn’t have been a more perfect theme for our son’s room. I also wasn’t into the any of the monkey/jungle themes and wanted something he could grow into!

A Rustic Chic Neutral Nursery

I wanted a calm and soothing room for my daughter to feel comfortable in as she sleeps and plays. I went with a white and beige color pallet to brighten up the space as it does not get a whole lot of light. I combined a few rustic pieces along with touches of gold and glitter to add warmth and sparkle. I am so happy with how it turned out and I hope my daughter will enjoy her space for several years to come.

DIY Gray and Pink Themed Nursery

This nursery is little piece of my heart and the very room where my dreams came true; in it I discovered a love like none other…and have fallen in love many times since. I had always dreamed of having a little girl, so when I found out Amalia was on her way I so excited to create for her a feminine and enchanted space.
I really enjoy styling and creating myself, so that is how I began. I chose the colors; an accent of pink and a gray base. I thought gray was a nice base that she could grow with, but the accent colors and decor could always be changed. My inspiration piece started from the ribbon wall, from there I went on to make the up-cycled ribbon lampshade. I up-cycled the manzanita trees from my wedding and decorated with crystals, flowers and the letter ‘A’ for her name. I then added touches of a chandelier, my own vintage ballerina porcelain light cover and even poms. Even her curtains are made with love, with the guidance of her grandmother.

Dimitra’s DIY Nursery

I wanted a nursery, out of pinks and purples. A nursery especially for my girl, different than the projects I did already for my clients. Yellow & greige for the walls, with a touch of a mosaic border between them, a handmade moon bed from her grandpa, old furniture painted from mummy, pom-poms, art on the walls, the 40 years old lace for the finishing of the mosquito net,  wallpapers and a lot of love, are some of the ingredients of her room!
