Classic Nursery

My inspiration from this nursery came from the fact that I wanted some thing that would be very timeless. I really wanted it to feel like no matter when you walked into this room, it would work for years to come. I focused on having calming colors that coordinate in all areas in all details of the room. With that being said, I really wanted to have artwork that didn’t scream “baby” at you. The art behind the crib actually came from the fact that I really wanted to feel calm and peaceful when I walked into this room since I knew I’d be spending lots of hours in here I also wanted to comfort. I reupholstered an antique rocker and designed it with specific colors in mind. Eleanor almost 2 years later I couldn’t be more thrilled with it

A Simple and Masculine Parisian Nursery

When we found out we’re having a baby, I began designing the nursery, at least in my head, immediately! I knew that I would be spending a tremendous amount of time in the nursery, so I wanted the space to be soothing and serene.  More details are on my blog.

I have dreamed about my baby’s nursery for many years, and when I finally fell pregnant, it all became reality. I wanted a classic and timeless baby boy nursery, with no commitment to a specific theme –  the type of nursery one would find in a storybook.

I have one other daughter who has a pink, cream, & brown room.  I wanted something totally different in this baby girl’s room.  It started with the gray (Annapolis gray to be specific) walls & went from there.  Only 1 wall is stenciled.  The others were left in plain gray paint.

This is our daughter, Camden’s, nursery. It used to be my stepson and my younger brother’s room when they came to visit — two twin beds, a large TV, Playstation 3, with blue and yellow fabrics and wall coverings, even snowboard and dirtbike Fathead wall decals at one point. We originally planned on transforming it into the nursery for our twin daughters, Aubrey & Finley, but due to complications, we lost them at 20 weeks of pregnancy, and had to reassemble the room into the boys’ room, storing all the items we had originally purchased for the girls. A few months after we lost the girls, we found out we were pregnant with another little girl. Naturally, we eventually moved the boys’ furniture again into another spare bedroom and began this labor of love for our sweet girl, Camden.
