In creating a nursery for our new baby boy, I wanted to design a space that was bright, cheerful, neutral, and that would grow with him as he got older. The room is small, about 7′ x 9′, so space was definitely taken into consideration when choosing furniture. I hope Jacob has as much fun in his nursery as I did making it!
The Mad Scientist Nursery was created for my friends’ baby girl. The final budget for the room was $425. They provided the crib, the glider and the Freddie the Firefly and the wall color- I provided everything else. (Bookcase, curtains, dresser/changing table, lighting, side table, artwork and accessories.)
This is my son’s vintage inspired nursery. He’s now 2, but this room will be perfect for him for another year or two since his crib converts into a toddler bed.
Oh Happy Day was a party for a colorful little girl on a warm spring day. The sun, clouds, and heart-shaped raindrops were incorporated throughout the house, accented by tons of bright colors and traditional birthday party decorations. We envisioned an old-fashioned home birthday party, updated with fun decorations and the now mandatory bounce house.

I am a lover of contemporary living. Ever since I thought of making our daughter’s nursery I was looking for something that looks modern and contemporary. After my rigorous research I finally settled down to “Gray and Yellow” theme, Gray was to give the room that elegance and Yellow was to diffuse that freshness and incandescence for a girl’s room. I loved how the combination was vivid as well as graceful.
However, I wanted to keep a balance between splurging for the nursery and ‘thinking too much’. I think I was able to get to it finally!

A bright & cheerful nursery for Boy/Girl Twins.
Brooklyn is turning 1, and while we have all of our family and friends gathered, we are going to find out the gender of Brooklyn’s sibling that is due February 20th, 2013!
I made my daughter an Alice in Wonderland inspired first birthday party. While planning this party I fell in love with party planning and decided to make a career change.
If I had to sum Jude’s room up in a few words I would say spiritual, bright, crafty, and very personal.
When Brox was 6 months old I started planning and pinning for his 1st birthday party. I had so many “theme” ideas but wanted to save those for when he was bigger and could enjoy them more so I decided to go with a super traditional primary colored party in our backyard.
I knew I was having a boy but didn’t want a masculine or cutesy nursery. I started with a color palette instead. It was a labor of love and the hardest part was picking out art for the room. I actually still have some white frames to put up on both sides of the window with some newborn portraits.
I wanted to create a very colorful room for our baby girl, since I’m a designer and love the theory of colour and how it affects our personality, I thought I would give it a try and see if happy colors equal happy little girl!

Since we don’t need the changing table anymore (yay no more diapers!) it was time to make use of the huge closet and transform it into a big girl space.
