This party was thrown for my daughter’s 4th birthday. She requested a Strawberry Shortcake party with an Alex’s Strawberry Lemonade Stand. We used Strawberry Shortcake as an inspiration and incorporated other colors and a “Strawberry Taylor” which was a caricature created by my sister, Abbey, of Abbey Malcolm Letterpress + Design. The birthday girl had only one activity on her list of activities for the party and that was a “keyata” or pinata with Miss Strawberry Shortcake herself on it. That was easy enough with a quick trip to Party City. It rained almost the entire party (until the end) but the parents and children didn’t mind at all, hey, water balloons and a pool = wet anyway and it definitely beats the heat!
This is a fun party I threw for my Daughter’s 5th birthday!
Mustache Bash to celebrate my sons’ birthdays. Simple black & white design inspired by old, vintage barbershops with a modern twist.
Bright and colorful, young and fun… this party was packed-full of treats for everyone with a sweet tooth!
Although there are a few golf themed parties out there, I was really inspired to make my little boy’s birthday a fab “par-tee” with lots of candy and lots of fun! Happy 3rd Birthday my sweet little boy!
My son had a super rad SURFER 7th birthday party! He picked blue and orange with a pop of green as his color scheme and I went for a very beachy overall feel . Best part is that this party was done on a REAL budget and I think we ot our bang for our buck! Photos were taken by Maggie Russo Photo ~ Chicago
My duahgter, Macy’s cowgirl birhtday party, a pink and brown paisley theme.
When my son requested a “Monkey Donkey Robot Piñata” Birthday Party, at first I went “huh?” and then I went “awesome!” It turned out to be a crazy, funky, hilarious party. We tossed tortillas, cracked cascarones, had a kiddo dance party, all among ebay-bought ceramic donkeys, monkeys, and robots. We hung about 20 piñatas from our overhang outside and used one to hit. My son had a total blast. It was wonky and wonderful! For loads more details, check out: http://cakeslikesaparty.com/2011/06/20/3rd-birthday-party-monkey-donkey-robot-pinata-theme-part-1/
When I asked my daughter what she wanted the theme for her 4th birthday party to be she insisted on having a ‘Batty’ Party…. in June… sure why not ;)
Alice in Wonderland themed birthday party for a 3 year old.
This kingdom has not one but two princess. Their fathers have known each other since they were young and wanted to combine their little princesses parties this year. A guest list filled with the princesses and knights of the land. The day was filled with crowns, shields, ponies, hot pink & lavender.
My son is way into pirate’s right now, so I found it only fitting to throw him a pirate themed birthday party. Since his birthday is in June, we’re lucky enough to have the entire party outside. I used some inspiration from various pirate parties I had seen online and embelished on them. All the signs, maps, booty bags, favors the bar, and the ship were all handmade. My husband is handy with the tools, so he’s nice enough to create what I think up-lol.
I little man loves science so when it came time to plan his 7th birthday party this was the logical choice! It was a hands-on experience from the moment Michael’s 10 friends walked in. We turned our dinning room into a mad science lab. The boys had a great time and told their mom’s it was the best party they’ve been too. That was quite a compliment!
I wanted something fun, different, and colorful for Buggies 5th birthday party {just like her}. After a little back and forth on the theme I went with a “A Very Cute Fruit Stand”. A rock star birthday party for a princess!
a birthday party for a 14 year old girl. this party was VERY simple in theme. it mostly focused on the dessert table. what girl doesn’t love her treats?! ENJOY!
This year for Easter we had family over for a spring brunch. We have had a COLD winter so it was fun to finally put together something springy! I used fresh spring green and yellow with white. I thought the springy neutral colors would make some of these ideas great for a baby shower or spring bridal shower.
This Iron Man Bowling Party was created for my FAVORITE little man, Gabriel!!! It was great fun and easy to incorporate his favorite super hero theme into the already fabulous venue! He chose the theme and we chose the venue! But BOWLING is one of his FAVORITE things to do!
