Aria’s Nursery

I designed this nursery for my younger sister. She is having her first baby in August and I offered to design and install her nursery as a gift for her. Her requests were simple: she wanted something beautiful, classy, that inspired peace, and with no too much pink! I found loads of inspiration on Project Nursery Instagram page. I would describe this nursery style as Boho Chic. I hope you can feel inspired by it. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

Pastel Colored Cactus / Llama Nursery

We decided early on that we did not want to find out the gender of our baby until he/she popped out but I am such a fan of color so I still wanted something super fun & bright! I started combing through Pinterest boards & Project Nursery and when I saw some cactus themed rooms, I thought that could be a fun way to add our last name (Sharpe) in there to personalize it!

Peek Inside This Bold and Feminine Shared Girls’ Bedroom

We have waited a long time for our baby girl to be here – years of infertility and failed treatments so the idea of getting to share a room with her big sister who is exactly 6 years older was very special to us and even her! I had a vision in my head for a long time of having a feature wall behind their beds that was a deep shade of green and the floral wallpaper that I fell in love with.
My biggest piece of advice for people planning a space is don’t be afraid to pivot. I had an idea in my head of matching beds for now – basically a crib that coordinates and is in the same furniture line as the big girl bed, but because of Covid delays or not wanting to spend billions on beds, I had to pivot and got matching beds for later and beds that compliment one another now, but aren’t in the same line.

Baby G Nursery

The point of departure for this project came from the wallpaper we picked for the space. We wanted something that the little one can grow old with when the nursery eventually turns into their grown up bedroom. Instead of designing the bedroom with a lot of pink for the little girl, we decided to use pick as an accent colour instead to keep it neutral, yet with a hint of feminine touch overall along with the gold accents.

A Floral Baby Girl Nursery

Today we are sharing a sophisticated and elegant nursery sent to us by Lindsey Ground from Parkland, Florida!  What a gorgeous room for her new baby girl!

This stunning nursery features our new Rose Bouquet White Linen Crib Bedding collection.  Made of top quality eco-friendly white linen, this crib bedding will add a touch of romantic charm to your baby’s room.  Crib rail cover is both decorative, and will keep baby from chewing on the crib.  Scalloped white linen teething guard is accented with linen ruffle trim.  Luxurious white linen crib skirt coordinates with the crib rail cover with accent ruffle trim.  Lux linen adds distinctive texture and heirloom appeal.  All white crib bedding is versatile and can give a timeless feel to any nursery.  Classic styling gives this sweet baby girl bedding a tailored, timeless appeal.
Our Rose Bouquet Crib Collection can be purchased as a set, or each piece can be ordered separately.
Large scale floral wallpaper is the perfect backdrop for the all white crib bedding.  Statement large floral wallpaper is a popular trend for girl nurseries.  An assortment of white and blush flowers on a dark background creates a feminine space for a baby girl.
The geometric star pendent from Ballard Designs adds sparkle to the room!
A round gold rimmed mirror, gold accent table and gold drawer pulls on the white dresser add a touch of glamour and pull the room together.  Sweet pom pom storage bins are perfect for organizing toys and more.

A Sweet Pink & Gray Nursery for Fallon

Today we are sharing the sweetest baby girl nursery sent to us by Felicia Latchaw!  This family is obviously overjoyed with the new addition to their clan – a fourth baby girl!  A vintage floral print and accents of gray create a warm and welcoming room for baby Fallon.  Fallon is the 4th child in a family of 4 girls!  We are sure she will have plenty of big sister love!  For baby Fallon’s nursery, mom Felicia choose our Nostalgic Rose crib bedding including the white washed linen crib skirt, floral crib sheet and protective crib rail cover.  She personalized the rail guard by adding a monogram.  “Fallon” is embroidered with our popular Elite Cursive font in gray thread. The “Hello World, I’m Fallon” onsie is to-die-for with gold sparkle print, and coordinating hair bow is so sweet.  Our Nostalgic Rose Crib Sheet features a sweet floral print in pink tones with a hint of mint and is made of premium 100% cotton fabric.

Baby Girl Farmhouse Nursery for Penelope

Today we are excited to share the sweetest baby girl nursery sent to us by Jessica Waters of J Miles Designs!  Jessica’s dream of a pink farmhouse nursery, that was both cozy and not too bright, becomes a stunning space for her new baby.

After trying for 5 years to have a child, baby Penelope arrived!  Jessica’s 3rd IVF treatment was successful, and as you can imagine she was over the moon about the birth of her first baby!

The farmhouse trend for baby’s rooms is still going strong, as farmhouse nurseries are the rage, and so much fun for a baby girl!  Shiplap walls, wooden elements, rustic touches and chandelier are necessities if you are planning a farmhouse styled nursery for your baby girl.  To make the nursery feel special for Penelope, Jessica fell in love with the name sign above the crib from Creating Happiness.  A name sign is a great way to personalize your baby’s room.  The eye-catching wood beaded chandelier is the perfect choice for the room, as it adds warmth and texture. A darling play tent next to the crib gives an enchanting look, and a touch of greenery adds color.  Including a tent in the nursery adds to the ambiance of the room, and provides a fun spot for Penelope to play!

Neutral colors in the room create warmth and coziness.  The off white furniture sets the stage for a timeless look and the vintage style has a luxurious look and feel.  To keep with neutral tones, Jessica chose our soft cream crib sheet and custom ruffle crib skirt made of our washed flax linen fabric for Penelope’s crib bedding.  Our washed linen fabrics, available in a variety of colors, create elegant and sophisticated crib bedding.

The neutral toned mirror over the dresser has a unique shape and adds a rustic feel to the room.  Corner wooden shelves are perfect for display of keepsakes and photos.  Dark hardwood plank flooring is the ideal contrast to the white shiplap walls.

Subtle touches of pink accents, including the pom pom trim nursery curtains and area rug, are reminders that this room is for a baby girl!  The sweet unicorn rocker, baskets and wood accent table all add personality to the room.  A large glider is elegant, comfy and a delightful spot for feedings and reading.  The blown up image of baby Penelope that adorns the wall can’t help but put a big smile on your face!

A Sweet Blush Nursery for Baby Cameron

Allison Jenks of the Pink Lou Lou Blog wanted a classic, serene, feminine nursery space for her baby girl.  We think she accomplished that and more.  We are in love with baby Cameron’s light and airy blush nursery!  The soft color palette gives this beautiful nursery a dreamy look.
Soft shades of pink and off white set the stage for a glamorous nursery for a baby girl!  The color palette for the room is creamy whites and blush tones.  The gold accents add warmth and sophistication to the room.  Allison chose our popular MacKenlee Faire Blush Pink Nursery Bedding Collection which features a luxurious washed white linen ruffle crib skirt and 100% premium cotton soft pink crib sheet.

A Pink & Gold Nursery for Baby Everly!

This sweet nursery was designed by Nicole Blattner for her baby girl, Everly.  We can’t seem to decide on our favorite part of the room, but the gold name plaque and assorted wall flowers are stunning, and are a perfect focal point for the nursery.  Featured on the simple white crib is our Pink & Gold Baby Bedding Collection, a popular crib set for a baby girl’s nursery.  The gold polka dot crib sheet and 3 layered crib skirt gives the nursery bedding a feminine feel.  The white crib rail cover is accented with pink ruffle, gold ties, and monogrammed with Everly’s initials.  Because the front crib rail is wider than most, we customized the rail cover to fit by making it slightly wider.  The sweet corner shelves are perfect for mementos and keepsakes.  We made the custom pink and gold curtains to Nicole’s specifications with gold polka dot panels trimmed with layers of pink ruffles.

Light and Airy Floral Nursery

Within days of finding out I was pregnant, I came across the Jolie Mural Wallpaper on Pinterest and fell head over heels in love with the print. Once we found out that we were having a girl, that print became the inspiration behind the nursery’s design. It was the perfect combination of whimsical and feminine. The room that we had decided to turn into the nursery is fairly small, so I needed to keep the design light and airy in hopes of making the space feel larger than it actually is. I knew we would be spending a lot of time in that room once our little girl arrived, so I wanted to have a space that was super comfortable and inviting and have lots of different textures and materials throughout.
I started with the installation of the wall mural and paint color (Benjamin Moore’s Revere Pewter). I knew I wanted all the nursery furniture to be white, and had identified some key nursery items I wanted to purchase like the bassinet, dresser, and rocker. I held off on buying any decor early in the process because I wasn’t completely sure of the accent colors/materials I wanted to incorporate into the space. Shortly after completing the installation of the mural, I came across the pendant light and side table and really liked the look of the geometric shape of the light and the gold color of the side table. I began to build on those pieces from there.
I designed and built the geometric air-plant crib mobile. I wanted to incorporate some greenery into the nursery, and love how low maintenance air-plants are. I found the geometric shapes at Hobby Lobby and the idea for the mobile took shape. I used transparent fishing line and tied the geometric shapes to a metal ring (spray painted gold). I love how this mobile ties in the pendant light and adds dimension to the nursery.
My husband (who is an electrician) retrofitted the geometric pendant light from a plug-in fixture to a hardwired fixture. We also spray painted the pendant light, the curtain rod, and the shelf brackets gold.
Social media can be a huge help when it comes to finding inspiration for a nursery design. When I am designing a room, I try to find one or two pieces that I love and let those items be my inspiration, and then build upon the design from there. If I try to do the design all at  once I tend to get overwhelmed and apprehensive. I also found it helpful to identify the big items I wanted in the nursery and held off on buying decor until those key items were in the room.
A note of caution to any parent interested in installing a vinyl panel mural like the Jolie Wallpaper – make sure the roofline of the wall you’re working with is level. We found out the hard war that ours was not level, which led to the panels not lining up like they should. Thankfully, Anewall accounts for such a situation and each panel has extra length on both ends so you can adjust accordingly. After attempting to install it first ourselves, we ended up making the decision to hire a professional to complete what we had started – and boy am I glad we did!
The Jolie Wall Mural is probably my favorite ‘thing’ in the nursery! If my husband would let me, I would have that wallpaper in our master bedroom. Not only is the design beyond beautiful, but the mural is vinyl, which means it’s removable and requires no sticky wallpaper paste during installation.

What I love about this nursery more than anything, is the relaxing and inviting feel of the space. I really enjoy spending time in the room, which makes those 3 am feedings a little easier.

Ava’s Gray and Pink Nursery

I was actually chosen for a his project. My client is close to her due date and was overwhelmed when she reached out to me. She needed assistance pulling her nursery together for the arrival of her sweet baby girl. So, I took her inspiration photos and my ideas for the room, sourced within her budget, and presented to the (first time) mommy to be- a space she loved. She already had the pink, gray, white color palette in mind. With brass accents, it really helped make the room pop! My one tip… design a space that will grow with baby girl or boy. Use a neutral paint color, that is a great base. Choose furniture pieces that won’t need to be replaced, but added to. Also, consider selecting lighting that you want have to swap later on down the line.

Emmy’s Light and Bright Chic Nursery

With both of my children, I never felt that one “theme” really fit what I had in mind, rather, I wanted to find a way to incorporate items of personal and important meanings to create a comforting and familiar space. Additionally, found it overwhelming to just commit to one specific style/theme, and I wanted to find a classy way to have little pieces from any theme I liked. It is also important to me to create a nursery that could transition well as my children grow and want to begin adding their own elements. I just started with a color scheme I knew I would want to use, in this case light pinks, grey, gold and white, and then used that as a starting base with furniture, paint, carpet, and curtains. I also knew I wanted to have floral and animal elements. To decorate, I used items that we already had in our home as well as things I picked up at various places during my pregnancy that just felt right. One piece I loved was the white and gold pineapple, found at TJ Maxx, because I have always loved the quote “Be a pineapple: stand tall, wear a crown, and be sweet on the inside.” and that’s absolutely something I want my little girl to live by. I didn’t rush the process and enjoyed taking time to find what I wanted. It would be easy to walk into a big brand store and buy everything you need in one stop, but by browsing over the months of my pregnancy, I was able to stay budget friendly by reusing items in my home as well as by bargain shopping and repurposing items. For example, the mirror was black and a $2 Goodwill find that I just spray painted white and the dresser was a $30 flea market find that I spent another $60 to restore. So don’t be afraid to check for good deals and try some DIY, I think it will make the items in the nursery that much more personal and special!

Scarlett’s Neutral Nursery

Decorating has always been something I have been passionate about. I love to create a design in my mind and work towards making it a reality. When I found out I was expecting my baby girl, a picture of her nursery instantly flashed in my mind. I knew I wanted this space to be a bright, neutral, and peaceful place for my baby girl. A place where we can spend endless hours reading her books and playing with her. Both my husband and I are so pleased with the outcome. It is our favorite space in our home and we can’t wait to share all this love and space with her.
My advice for readers who are looking into starting their nursery is to stay true to what you love. The nursery should be a reflection of your style but also your love. My husband and I both love neutral colors throughout the house so we wanted to reflect this in our nursery.
We hope that our nursery inspires you! Thank you Pottery Barn Kids for designing such beautiful, timeless pieces!
Hugs.

Annabelle Mae’s Pink and Blue Nursery

I had so much fun decorating this nursery for my baby girl Annabelle! It’s my favorite room in the house! When we found out we were having a girl I knew I wanted to decorate the room in pink, after all, when else can you design a room in pink?!
My favorite part of the room is the blue and white accents. I think they bring a modern feel and really make the room pop!
You can read more about how I picked everything out on the tour on my blog: Annabelle Mae’s Pink and Blue Nursery Tour.

Fresh and Feminine Nursery (with subtle bunnies)

Located in Atlanta’s charming Wildwood neighborhood, this Georgia native mama asked designer Lauren Elaine for a sophisticated scheme that would be traditional, but not stuffy. The colors in the floral fabric by Schumacher balance the soft pink of the drapery and keep the space from feeling too girly. To freshen up the traditional elements, we painted the client’s antique rocker white, selected clean and contemporary artwork and added a sheepskin rug. The client’s love for bunnies really came through in the artwork selection! Always bring in elements of your own personality, since you’ll spend so much time in the space.
