Sweet Cream Nursery Nook

*Update- We moved. See how I transitioned the nook to a nursery in our baby’s new space.
With my second baby’s nursery, I am working with a much smaller space than I had with my first. As we search for our next home with more space, we are making it work with this small but sweet nursery nook. I learned with my first babe that I will be sleeping in the room with her for several months. Therefore, I decided to create a partial nursery nook/bedroom combo. I created a serene sweet cream and neutral colored room with a touch of florals, bunnies, and sweet woodland friends. Big sis chose a few special touches such as the baby plant, duck, and a few other items making it an extra special project. We also added a precious little stocking since she will be a Christmas babe! I look forward to enjoying this cozy space with our future little lady!

Everly’s White Nursery

Decorating Everly’s white nursery was one of the easiest and most fun rooms to furnish. One of my favorite things to do is find old furniture and refinish it. Before our oldest daughter was born, I text my mom a picture of a dresser I was looking for, in hopes she could keep an out for me. Well literally that weekend I came over to find this one sitting in the garage. She had picked it up at a garage sale for $20. All it needed was a coat of Annie Sloan Chalk paint and it was good as new. Putting your own creative touch on pieces is a great way to make your home feel more homey.
I actually picked up the vintage frames at a garage sale and painted them to use at our wedding. Little did I know they’d end up in our nursery. Found the chandelier and shelf at a friends consignment store ~ $35 for the both of them. The wood crate for diapers was purchased at a vintage market. The hunt for a deal and finding hidden treasures is a little bit of a thrill for me. I know, I know…living life on the edge over here.
My reasoning is if I save on some things, I can splurge a little on others. Like Pottery Barn Kids… they have the most beautiful bedding and furniture. I could spend so much time browsing their store. Everything is timeless, darling and such great quality. This bedding was bought three years ago, before Lila was born and it still looks brand new. Another splurge was our rocking chair ~ late night feeds, snuggles and book reading just wouldn’t be complete without it.
Unicorns in little girls room, enough said. When Everly wakes up in the morning she lays in her crib sucking her susu and looks up at her unicorn pal. What baby does that? Seriously, she’s just the sweetest little girl. I have no clue how long she’s awake because she doesn’t make a peep. When I walk in to check on her, she gives me the brightest smile. What better way to start the day?
Last year I put together a complete list of What you Need to Buy Before Baby Arrives  ~ For any new readers who are preggers, it’s a must read.
