Vintage Cowboy

And just when I am convinced modern is the way to go, I fall in love with vintage all over again! Budding children’s room designer Carmen Raynor has a knack for taking the sweet innocence of the 50’s & 60’s and creating timeless children’s rooms. Carmen has recently launched her Sydney based interior design firm, Retro Rooms – for modern kids! Here’s a peek of her son’s cowboy room with a vintage twist…

Playful Pip

A vibrant, colorful and bright room for a little girl. SF mom Diana created this playful room for her daughter Pip centered around their favorite color, orange. Diana sewed two different sheets together to create a custom reversible duvet cover and found fun floral pillows to complete the bedding. The piece of art above Pip’s bed is actually a piece of fabric that Diana stretched across a wood frame and stapled in order to create something unique and colorful. The fish painting came from another room in the house as a nice way to blend a piece from Diana’s pre-baby life. Other touches include an adorable green frog humidifier, cube shelving for books and toy storage, a retro chair and shag rug. The entire room is bursting with energy and fresh design. We just love it!! Thanks Diana for sharing.
