Safari Chic Baby Shower

It’s a Jungle out there – Welcome to our Safari Chic baby shower! Hosted at a private estate in San Diego, it was our goal to turn this beautiful backyard into a safari oasis.  Sticking with a modern color palette that included: green, white, and touches of gold, this baby shower was a mixture of tropical, jungle and chic.  The Soirée team created custom signs that were sprinkled throughout the house including a grand welcome sign upon walking in.  This design was carried on from the invitation for all the guests.  We wanted to make the experience of walking to the backyard much like being on a safari, there were various stops on your way with plenty to look at!  Upon walking in, you were greeted by Jamie (day of coordinator) and asked to shake it like a Polaroid picture + sign the guestbook.  From there, you were given a clothes pin to not say…well you know the word!  Next, drop off a gift for the guest of honor and fill out a diaper raffle ticket if you brought some.  As you turned the corner, there were 2 fun activities you could participate in:  Baby’s 1st ABC book, where you chose a letter, colored + signed it.  There was also a onsie making station with fun graphics all in safari theme style with a custom “made with love” sign!  If that wasn’t enough, you were also greeted by the dessert table full of amazing sweets + treats from the greatest vendors!  After that, it was out to the back where tables were decorated with safari animals, balloons and you picked up a glass of Sangria.  The guest of honor had a chair in the middle of all her guest which also worked as a photo booth.  This event was as precious as the cargo it was intended for, Baby Bennett!

Beach Baby Shower

Surf’s Up! We LOVED this surf themed destination baby shower in gorgeous Santa Barbara!  Hosted at one of the best beach front restaurants, The Padaro Grill, this baby shower was held in their “backyard” area with breathtaking views of the beach.  Our client and guest of honor chose our Blue Confetti collection for her dessert table which was a perfect pairing for the celebration.  The Soirée team accented with hues of blue + turquoise balloons, scrapbook paper for the center pieces, custom popcorn favors and welcome sign, a onsie garland in the same color palette and of course topped it off with Barefoot wine bottles.  Since the venue was so rich in decor already, adding some of these simple touches is what brought the theme all together.  Truly an amazing place to celebrate something so dear as the anticipated arrival of a new baby!

Succulent Baby Shower

My designer partner and I love any excuse to throw a party, so a baby shower is an amazing excuse! Together we created a theme that would play off of my future little one’s nursery with cactus, succulents and oh yeah TACOS! So many of the design elements were taken from my home or used in my little one’s nursery following the party.  When it comes to throwing a great shower it is all about the food! We catered our favorite taco company and special ordered succulent cupcakes, cactus sugar cookies an churros for dessert! Who says a signature drink is only for a wedding? We had a signature mocktail for this pregnant mama, a prickly pear spritzer and who could forget the Cactus Cooler?

Backyard Baby Shower

Welcome to our Backyard Baby Shower. This event was full of DIY details! We celebrated the new parents in their adorable backyard with family and friends. A warm February afternoon called for a Mom-osa bar, Sangria, finger sandwiches, fresh fruit, veggies, donuts and a delicious dessert table. We set up a photo booth area using a Polaroid camera and our take-home favors were adorable little succulents. It was a fantastic afternoon filled with love and excitement for the soon to be arrival of Baby Daphne.

Outdoor-Inspired Baby Shower

Hello!

Welcomer to our Outdoor-Inspired Baby Shower! This event is full of DIY details! The new Parents are big adventurers and love nature, hiking, and camping so the theme fit perfectly with their family. We were inspired by watercolor woodland creatures, natural colors and elements, such as wood and greenery. The DIY details include the onesies, table garland, gift tent, cake topper, and all the signs. Such a labor of love!
A Sunday afternoon in August called for cold refreshments and light food that included fruit, fresh vegetables, spinach dip and hummus, peach iced tea and strawberry lemonade. We had a few activities that included Outdoor Trivia, How well do you know the Momma Bear?, and an Animal Gestation quiz. We set up a gift tent, trail mix bar for a take-home favor and ended the day with delicious carrot cake and fresh doughnuts.
It was a wonderful afternoon filled with love and excitement for the coming of Baby Lincoln.

Otomi-Themed Fiesta Baby Shower

One of my best friends, Meredith, is the queen of color (and sugar, but I’ll get to that in a minute!). Her business, Cake & Confetti, says it all! Meredith is expecting a baby right before Christmas, which is fitting, since her birthday is December 25th.
I knew that I wanted to throw Mere a bright baby shower, something that was a bit atypical (“babyish” isn’t really her style). When I saw some Otomi-themed prints on Pinterest, I knew that was the direction we had to go in.
Some of my favorite items from the shower were the cake, made by a friend, Monica of Paper Flour Ink, all of the gorgeous florals by Blush & Vine, and the calligraphy by Nancy of Natalie Gene Creative.
We both shared our points of view on the party on our blogs, with vendors sourced there!
