A Rainbow Baby’s Rainbow Baby Shower

I usually gravitate towards neutrals but really wanted to celebrate my rainbow baby in color! A Flour Shop cake was the inspiration for the event, and they even customized the color scheme in a pastel rainbow. I wanted the party to be intimate and Maison May was the perfect venue. It’s located in a Brooklyn brownstone so you feel like you’re just having a casual brunch at a friend’s home. They also have the perfect all-white room that really helped the rainbow theme pop.

Golden Safari Baby Shower

First and foremost, thank you to my wonderful mother and Aunt for bringing my vision to life! Since my son’s nursery was modern safari, we decided do the same with my baby shower theme – hello, GOLDEN SAFARI! We used the wall pictures bought for his nursery as the shower decor, which saved $ and the decor and it was multi-functional!
Wall decor links provided in his Project Nursery gallery “It’s a wild world”.
We searched Amazon and found plastic toy safari animals in various sizes that we then spray painted in a bronze color. Also on Amazon were giant faux palm leaves that we used on the tables, around centerpieces, as well as hung throughout the event space. What better centerpiece than a real pineapple?! It was a perfect idea because the pineapples made for the most affordable centerpieces and guests were able to take home and eat! We kept the cupcakes a simple vanilla with a white Italian buttercream and topped with an animal cracker. We displayed Ferrero Rocher chocolates with pineapple crowns on an elegant porcelain tiered dessert stand. I loved the modern black & white striped table runners! They truly complimented the gold table accents and tropical faux foliage. I remember the moment I stepped foot into my shower – my eyes were the size of saucers. I was in awe. It was everything I imagined of and more. Wish all you expecting mamas that same magical feeling at your shower!

Aiden’s Airplane Nursery

Airplanes have a long running history with the men in our family, so as soon as we found out we were expecting a boy, we wanted to highlight our love for airplanes and flying.  I’ve also always loved using wallpaper in a room, but wanted a new and unique way to feature it.  We chose to use 2 panels of a removable wallpaper for the center of the wall and framed it with molding.  In the future, as our family grows or our sons interests change, we’ll have the ability to change the wallpaper highlight in the center to give the room a whole new feel.

Floral Girls Bedroom

I would like the room to be themed like spring , I also like the design. A couple of days ago I decided that my daughter bedroom needed a makeover. So we bought this amazing wallpaper from Coloray Polska, which is easy to apply and its like a sticker. Its also mess- free. We bought a bed from Ikea and the desk too. My boyfriend made these amazing shelves. We did this because she didn’t want a girly room any more she needed a teenage one. She is very Happy with her new room.

Modern Magnolia Baby Sprinkle

Who’s ready for a Magnolia themed Baby Sprinkle?! This theme came from our client’s love of Magnolia Market + all things Joanna Gaines.  The Soirée team did a modern approach to the theme by popping shades of blue + gold to compliment the natural beauty of greenery.  Accents included wood stands, farm tables, and simple farmhouse decor.  On the modern side, we used the Malibu collection of tableware which glammed our family style guest table.  Such a cute take on a trending theme!

Babychella Shower

We’re heading into spring and one of our favorite events that kicks off the season is none other than, Coachella. A fun music festival full of wildflowers, bright decor, and who can forget that Ferris wheel! Here we created a baby girl shower which we like to call, Babychella.

Rustic Farmhouse Baby Shower

My friend Amanda has a gorgeous farmhouse style home in Nashville, TN, so I thought a simple rustic farmhouse theme was perfect for her baby sprinkle. The shower was very feminine. Also very farmhouse with galvanized metal and lots of mason jars. I made a DIY Hula Hoop decor focal point. The DIY elements were easy! The co-hosts and I created a Walk Around Charcuterie table and desserts were a pie bar and cookie tray. We had a wishing tree for guests to write down wishes for the mama and baby on the way. Shower favors were deconstructed caramel apples.

Bonjour Bebé

When planning a special party, which is something I’ve done quite a bit of over the past few years, I always find it best to pick the perfect venue first, then allow the details to flourish from there.
I planned my own baby shower, yes I know that traditionally it’s supposed to be done by others, but what can I say…I like to be in control!
Esme was due in December, so I was excited to have a Baby Shower in October because I love the fall weather and that month in particular. I stumbled upon a gorgeous venue in Los Angeles, Le Muse, and from there everything just fell into place.
I was such a happy and glowing mama-to-be and with every single day that passed, I fell more and more in love with my little angel. I know most people say that they can’t wait to meet their baby, but I really loved just carrying her and having her all to myself. She ended up being 10 days late and I had to be induced, and not once did I feel like I was done being pregnant and wanted her out!
My biggest advice for planning a fun and memorable party is to remember that not all of your guests are pregnant and some may not even have kids yet, so be sure to make it entertaining for everyone and also remember that it’s a shower for the mama!!! Not the baby :)
