My latest design reveal is for an eight-year-old boy who was in dire need of a quiet space in the house to get his homework done and have some alone “boy time.” The room is relatively small and narrow, so we had to get creative with furniture placement and added a custom bench for extra seating and storage as well

I’ve written about this before, but living in a NYC apartment has its perks and its challenges, especially for my 6-year-old and 3-year-old who share a room. When kids share a room, furniture placement is an important factor to take into consideration. For instance, hockey is a big sport with my boys (and not because I’m Canadian…okay maybe, just maybe,
