Modern Little Bohemian Nursery

For this white card project, we worked with grays blues and neutral tones. The modern gray crib and chest of drawers we’re mixed with a more rustic style, including linen curtains, barnwood and some vintage decor accents such as a really old children rocking chair and a faux fur blanket in a vintage cream color. The room is surrounded by old pine wood shelves that are filled with old toys and objects provided by our clients. What makes this nursery unique is the mix of colors and textures. We opted for modern patterns but stayed neutral with all the colors. We added bohemian accents such as a handmade dreamcatcher, hanging leaves and cactus, little arrow prints and a woven area rug. This nursery is modern and rustic, and filled with fun little objects.

Smith’s Rustic Modern Nursery

Our inspiration for this nursery began with our love for reclaimed wood. We started with a home made pallet wall stained in walnut and white washed to create a lighter feel. We then started designing the rest of the room around that. White furniture for a fresh clean look with pops of color here and there. The wall art we found was perfect as it showcased our favourite beaches in Hawaii. My husband chose the white moose head for the wall which I actually really liked as well. Our book wall was the perfect way to display all of the books we received as gifts and bring more color to the room.

Miller’s Rustic Farmhouse Nursery

We chose to do a farmhouse style nursery for our baby boy, although this nursery could be fit for a girl as well. We love wood walls and have pallet walls in other rooms so the shiplap was one of the first things we decided on. We love clean simple and rustic wood so this nursery ended up being exactly what I imagined and very affordable also. With basic patterns and reclaimed wood accents, we made this nursery a room we love spending time in!

Barnyard Party – Cowgirl Turns 2

My little doll was in love with the song “Old Mc Donald had a farm”. We took her often to a nearby petting animal farm and the red barn always made her giggle. Boom ! There came the idea for her second birthday theme. It was a very small backyard party and we wanted to keep things simple yet fun.
Most of the decorations were DIY projects or things i bought from amazon, My favorites were Red barn backdrop and the “old Mc Donald” photo frame prop. I made a bunch of party sign using simple free “barnyard” clip art and  never-old power point. The rocking pony made a great prop for my cow girl’s photos and kept the kids busy. Paisley bandanas added to the farm charm.
For little visitors, i arranged an activity where they could paint their own barns red. For favors we handed them their freshly painted barns and “barn favor box”. Favors had bunch of farm animal stuff – bath squirt’s, activity book, stickers and animal face pops.
Hope this inspires other mammas out there. I have a lot of free printable from the party, which i am happy to share.

DIY Rustic Chic Baby Shower

I had so much fun putting together this baby shower! Almost everything was DIY – dollar store frames, dollar store favor bags, Target clearance centerpieces, etc. The font for the signs, “Loreal”, was purchased from Creative Market. The guestbook, thank you favor tags, and coloring book activity were all unique Etsy finds. The swaddle from How Joyful Shop was absolutely perfect as a backdrop since the pregnant mama has waited 20 years for her second baby! Such a special day at an amazing venue in Montana. <3
