Holiday Magic – Nursery Decor

Every child deserves some holiday cheer in their room. I decorated my daughter’s room in a whimsical pastel color scheme! There’s tons of glass trees, a pink village, velvet reindeer, cute signs, a nutcracker and even a car!
All of these knick-knacks were purchased from Target’s bargain bin this year, accept for the pink car — That was 60% off at Hobby Lobby.

Space Nursery

Space and space exploration have a special place in both my and my husband’s hearts. Our wish was to share that with our child as soon as he enters the world and what better way to do it than to bring space into his nursery.
This is a DIY project, with the wallpaper and knot pillows sourced from Etsy, the furtniture set from Little Guy Comfort, the shelving and rug from Crate Kids and the handwoven rug from Love44. The glider is from Babyletto. The wall hanger is from West Elm. The window treatment is from the Shade Store. The wall, ceiling and trim paint is from Clare.
The nursery is the perfect space for our son – both are a labor of love and dedication towards building a thriving and loving family together.

Wildflower Nursery

The Hunter green crib was my main inspiration for this nursery. When I saw it, I knew I had to have it! I still wanted the room to feel feminine. Next,  I looked for a wallpaper to complement the crib and was able to customize my color palette for the peel and stick wallpaper (timberlea interiors wallpaper). Once the wallpaper arrived, I then picked out paint samples for the wall to match with some of the colors in the florals.
My husband and I both love restoring furniture, so we found our dresser at the Goodwill and a rocking chair at a yard sale. My initial plan was to sand and stain for natural wood look, but after staining three different times I hated every color and decided to go with white. The rattan inserts that I added and the leather pulls really complemented the wood accents on the crib. My vision for this room was neutral/BoHo/feminine floral. I tend to dream of these things in my head and then just start looking for pieces and accessories that complement as I’m decorating and pulling things together.
I am loving the combination of the deep green, lavender and shades of white.

Baby Boy Neutral Nursery

I love Charlie’s room. I wanted something that would grow with him, and allow me to update it easily. It’s a mix of thrifted and new, with neutral tones & textures.

Beach Boho Nursery

This room was inspired by our love for the beach and boho design. I enjoy creating design styles that reflect the people who live in a home and this room does exactly that. My wife and I always grew up going to the beach and we find the sights and sounds so relaxing and calming that we had to make it a part of our nursery. I mixed a variety of vintage furniture with more modern pieces in our 1920’s home to create an eclectic feeling. I then layered softer textures and more natural and woven materials to bring out that boho vibe. The room we are using as our nursery is on the smaller side, so it was important for us to maximize storage. When creating your nurseries be sure to add a little of what is special to you. We can’t wait for our little one to arrive and use this beach boho nursery!
