Hello! Welcome to Zeno’s room :)

It’s a Montessori inspired bedroom and playroom all in one, since the size is quite generous and well, there is no extra room available 😅

I started planning the room when Zeno was 2.5 (he is now almost 3). I wanted everything to be at his reach so I observed how he interacted with the space and kept moving furniture and elements around until I found the right balance (lot’s of holes in the walls I had to patch 😂🤪 drill and re-drill!)

I wanted to be able to move things around a little bit to create some “new” play corners or areas based on his current interests or in case I wanted to surprise him with something new, like the little ZENO’S Market & Bistro corner 😬🥳

The furniture is almost all from Ikea (even the bed, I just had the legs cut at a DIY store 🤓), to spice-up a bit the overall clean and minimal look of the room I used wall stickers from Urban Kids Berlin on Etsy, I wanted uneven polka dots so their hand-drawn-stickers were perfect for my project! The carpets add a bit of color as well, they are both from Benuta. The main art-piece is called “Zenology” and it’s my original concept, illlustrated by the talented Alice from Musetto_Mini with the quirkiest words my son says and some of his favorite ones🤗😍 There are some botanical and zoological posters from Cavallini and of course some original art piece by the famous little Zeno 😅

Hi there! I love this rug. The link takes me to Benuta’s site in Dutch. How were you able to purchase the rug?
