Description
Our sweet baby boy's nursery a modern take on a football themed room.
Design Inspiration
I wanted to make a nursery inspired by my Husband's love of the Oklahoma Sooner's football team. I however, didn't want it to be football themed in every corner. We mixed in the bold color red with a chevron print and balanced it with white and neutral colors.
Project Details
Many of the items were items that we had already from our first baby, luckily the furniture was all white and still in good shape. But I wanted to add some new things that were uniquely made for our baby boy. The crib skit, and pillow were made by me, and the amazing quilt was a gift from a friend. We added some cute book shelves to make a toy/reading nook in the corner of the room. You can find full details on my blog here: http://www.worleyhouseblog.com/2013/08/zanes-nursery.html
Favorite Items
One of my favorite items in the gallery wall above the changing table. I had so much fun putting this together and collecting and making some prints for it. Also the numbered bins below are a fave, they are my take on football field numbers.
Advice
Find something you love to inspire your room, and DIY at least one project. When you hand make items it adds a personal touch to your nursery, knowing that you put your love into something makes a room special.

Gorgeous! I am so envious as this is exactly the look I am going for!! Does your friend make/sell these quilts? I would be incredibly interested in negotiating a deal. TIA

The red really pops out from the whites and neutrals. The result is simple yet stunning.
