When I found out that I was pregnant with Will, my husband and I decided that we would keep the baby's gender a surprise. What started as a challenge when designing the nursery, turned out to be a better route as I really feel that we can grow with this nursery as Will gets older, and can perhaps use it for another baby in the future, regardless of the gender. We wanted a room that was warm and relaxing for me, my husband and two young stepchildren, as we knew that we would all be spending a lot of time in there! That lent itself to neutral tones with a soft finish. I am happy that I started with the wallpaper as an inspiration - most of the other decisions that I made connected back to that, such as the window treatments, rug, glider, crib and changing table. I had so much fun with this project!
