White and Cozy Nursery - Project Nursery

zFashion blogger Ashley Fultz is expecting her first child, a baby boy, this fall and wanted to design a modern, elegant and gender-neutral cozy nursery for him!

Design Inspiration

I spent a lot of time on Pinterest looking at gender-neutral and sophisticated nurseries that were minimal and white. I also had to include the book shelves - they are my favorites!

Project Details

My husband and I just bought a new house shortly after we found out we were expecting our first baby and knew we wanted the nursery to go with the theme of the house – modern, clean, and elegant, yet cozy. We also were originally convinced we were having a girl, so even after we found out we were having a boy, there were still elements from different baby girl’s rooms we liked that we wanted to include, so the room is really gender neutral. White, gold and gray are the main colors of the room and then we brought in a little color from the accessories, sheets and books. After getting a lot of inspiration on Pinterest for the nursery, I worked with a designer from Havenly.com to design the room around a few key must-haves: shelving for a little library, the “You are so loved” decal and the prints from The Animal Print Shop. We are so happy with the way everything turned out. It feels so luxe and so inviting and comfortable at the same time – and very us. We cannot imagine a better room to bring our little boy home from the hospital to!
