Vivian’s First Bee Birthday Party

Description

Vivian's first bee birthday party was a mix of yellow, black & gold with neutrals like kraft and burlap. It had a vintage feel as I used mason jars to put the flowers in and used burlap for the table runner.

Design Inspiration

Vivi's first bee birthday party theme was inspired by her bee-themed gender-neutral nursery.

Decorating Style

My decorating style is mostly modern and clean, with some trendy pieces and pops of color. I like to be able to bring in new pieces and switch out my decor and still have everything work together.

Project Details

For Vivi's first birthday party, I did a lot myself. I designed her invitations, made her yellow banner that says "Happy Bee-day Vivian", honeycomb-shaped cake picks with bee stamped on them, and a latex bee for the centerpiece with flowers. I also made the flower arrangements in mason jars that were my great-grandmothers and I used small gold "1" balloons in the arrangements.

Favorite Items

My favorite item was the bee stamp, I used it on the cake picks and banner and my friend used a technique to stamp on to the cookies! I love how everything was tied together with the bee stamp.

Advice

I like to start way ahead of my party, I have a vision in my head and then I like to find elements from a few different stores. Always be on the lookout for something in your color palette, you never know where you'll find a great piece for your party!
