Project Details
My husband and I built the headboard and platform bed for our toddler and re-used the crib for our new baby, which we purcahsed at Target about 2.5 years ago. I re-purposed a vintage cabinet as a changing station. I also made the pillows for the toddler bed and a bed skirt for the crib. I purchased a plain pink bumper for the crib and then cut out trees from the fabric I had left over. Then, using fusable web, I adhered the trees to the bumper I made a bird mobile using scrapbook paper and some branches. I painted a vintage shelf that I already had and lined the back with scrapbook paper which will hold some vintage treasures. I hung fabric (the same as the fabric I used on the headboard) above the bed and the crib, to frame our girls' first initials, then I added sweet polka-dot ribbon to the edges. My SIL gave me a little round vintage table that I thought would go perfect in this space. I also made the tissue pom, poms that hang above the table. I mounted left over fabric is embroidery hoops as art above the rocking chair.
