Description
I wanted something feminine, soft and unique for my baby girl. My mother, Suzanne, is an art teacher/artist and helped turn my vision into a reality. I chose a rose metallic paint for the walls, vintage furniture and ivory puckered fabric with soft pink accents for the crib bedding and window covering. The Venetian Gold Baby Bed by Bratt Decor is the main attraction and the 3x5 rug is a Dash & Albert 'Siena' area rug. My sister found the Cinderella chandelier on-line and the upholstered glider and ottoman are from Kids Furniture. Mother made the bedding, window treatmentsn and painted the wall mural referencing one of the Parisian studios in a Degas painting. We framed it with wooden embellishments and moldings painted brown and highlighted with bronze. The same accents were used on the cornice board.

I’m not sure I’d like that Ivory fabric… it seems scary for me, and to my baby. I’d copy the colors, but choose cotton or something that’s lighter looking than that fabric.
Great work though, love it!
I think you can actually claim this is an antique room. The pieces look older than vintage era. The crib and drapery remind me of old world princess’ room, very romantic.
Great work using that canopy crib :)
