Description
We are doing a beach/sea theme.
Design Inspiration
Both my husband and I are lovers of the coast. Our house has many natural elements that remind us of the tropical and relaxing climate that we long for and remember from trips we've been on. I wanted to pull that same feeling into Vincent's nursery with a fun and relaxed color pallet. I think he'll love it. :)
Decorating Style
I think words to describe our style would be eclectic, colorful, re-purposed and hand-made.
Project Details
It is such a tiny space, so we have to add a functional element to almost every piece we chose for the room. Having elements of the family in our house is very important to us. The painting on the wall was painted by Travis' sister, the rocking chair was what Travis' mom rocked him in as a baby (recained and repainted), the crib bedding was sewn by Travis' Aunt with fabric I picked out, the crib and dresser were given to us by my Nana, and the white trunk was given to me many years ago from my Grandma. The dresser is Ikea. The rug is from West Elm The prints on the wall are from Etsy.

Advice
Go with your gut, even if it means shopping by yourself. Don't worry about matching perfectly like your mom probably thinks you should. It will blend and work perfectly. Save receipts and if you don't like it, you can exchange it!
Can I ask you where you got your drapes for your nursery? They’re just the color I’m looking for!
Thanks! The wall color is Behr – castle stone
Awesome room! What color are the walls!
I like the warm and cozy colors. I like that it’s a tiny space and most of what you placed there are practical and essential things.
This is a very sweet nursery. Great job!
