UES – Princess Nursery

Description

I painted this sparkly princess nursery for a family in NYC. It's painted in soft pinks, greens and purples with rhinestone and glitter accents.

Design Inspiration

I was inspired by the adopted little girl I painted the room for. She's a girly girl and a cutie!

Decorating Style

I'm inspired by the fabrics and chachkas. I let them lead me. If it's contemporary, I paint contemporary. If the decor is whimsical, I paint whimsical. I feel strongly that the paint colors and fabric colors need to either match or be in the same family so that the room flows.

Project Details

Her furniture is Ragazzi and her carpet is from Pottery Barn. It took 2 days to complete. (Thank you MissStephanie and Lemoncupcake )

Favorite Items

I love sparkle. I work a lot with rhinestones and glitter paint.

Advice

Trust your instincts.

Use jewelry glue when using rhinestones in little girl's rooms. It's like cement.

Thank you all so much! I do love what I do. The family purchased the Ragazzi furniture from Crib World in Morris Plains, NJ.

You are amazing.  It is obvious just how much love you’ve put into this room.  By the way, that crib is exactly what I’m looking for, where did you get it? Ragazzi?

Oops sorry, I get to answer my own question: Pottery barn :)

That mural is awesome!  Love the effect of the glitter paint!!! I love your color scheme, so feminine, yet not too saccharine.  Where did you get the rug???
