Twin Nursery Tour

Description

Creating a nursery for twin's was a blast!  Since we waited for the gender's to be a surprise I stuck with neutral grey and added pops of yellow.  I knew after the babies arrived it would be easy to incorporate pale blues or pinks.

Design Inspiration

Most of my inspiration came from viewing other nursery's on Project Nursery, Pinterest and various blogs.

Decorating Style

I kept our style clean and simple.  I knew if we went with the basics the room would easily transition as the twins grew older.

Project Details

Much of the nursery was either gifted or made.  It's my very favorite space in the house!  Our faux-sheepskin rug is from Home Decorators.  The chair, shelves, sidetable, nightlight and frames are all IKEA and our cribs are Jenny Lind.  I purchased the window sheers at World Market, along with some knobs for the dresser, which is by South Shore.  Our organic elephant sheets are from Potterybarn and the basket and wooden tray were found at Target.

Favorite Items

My favorite items are the giraffe painting from my sister, mobiles made by my mom and the canvas prints I made from the boys newborn photographs, as well as my wooden alphabet wall hanging.

Advice

Stick with what you love.  Be creative and add personal touches as many places as you can!  You and your baby will spend a lot of time in this room, so look for a comfortable chair, or soft rug to lay on!  Goodluck and Have Fun!

Adorable portrait photos of the twins. Love the very simple alphabet wall.

Their felt mobiles are so adorable. That dresser with different knobs give the room a very quirky touch.
