Featuring a diaper cake as the main thing on the dessert/candy table as a gift for the mom-to-be. I carried the turtle theme and the carnation flower arrangements the guest tables as well. These flower arrangements were done using recycled bean cans and covered with scrapbooking paper in a variety of patterns. I ventured into making fondant turtles for the cupcakes as well as my usual cupcake toppers to complement the cupcake stands. A customized banner and beautiful balloons tied it all together. The candy table featured mini marshmallows, sour gumballs, circus peanuts, orange gummies and other yummy treats for the kids. As party favors we gave cello bags filled with chocolates and hand-dipped Oreo cookies in colored white chocolate, made by yours truly. www.followyouflutterby.blogspot.com

I just loved your decoration. Would you be able to let me know how you made it the diaper cake? I want to do it the same size to my baby shower.

Hello Mel!
I found a great tutorial at AlphaMom.com on how to assemble a diaper cake. (http://alphamom.com/family-fun/activities/how-to-make-a-unique-diaper-cake-ha/ ). I just covered with ribbon and put it on a glass cake stand. The top layer is just a recycled tin can covered in heavy cardstock and topped with carnations {there is no water in the can, though!} Hope this helps! Have a nice day!
