Transitional Toddler Room

Description

A modern and airy budget friendly room for a toddler waiting to transition into his big boy room.

Design Inspiration

The inspiration for the project came from the existing chaise and the desire to paint stripes on the wall.

Decorating Style

The style of these clients is modern, clean and functional.

Project Details

Artwork - Oopsy Daisy by Jacqueline Shapiro

Bookcases - Expedit from Ikea

Bookcase Bins - Itso from Target

Changer - Two-Wide from Nurseryworks

Crib - Hiya from Spot on Square

Crib Sheet - Orange Stripe from Serena & Lily

Paint - Arctic Blue, Benjamin Moore

Window Treatments - Linen by The Shade Store

Favorite Items

My favorite aspects of the room are definitely the two toned 17" horizontal stripe accent walls.  They could work for a boy or girl room and create a visually interesting design eliminating the need for too much artwork on the walls.

Advice

Measure and level three times before you paint stripes on a wall.  It is a difficult process and don't be disheartened if you decide to hire a professional.  It should run you around $400 to have sometime like this done.

This is lovely.  What budget range were your working in?  I super like the colors you used on the walls.

I love the muted pastel colors on the wall and the vivid colors all around!  I think that this is the best toddler’s room I’ve seen on here.  Great work!
