The Very Hungry Caterpillar Nursery

Description

We didn't know what sex our baby was going to be, but girl or boy we did know we wanted a colourful fun theme for a nursery. Starting with a favourite childhood book The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and keeping it practical we painted a little, added some grass and some sun shine, and put in plain practical furniture.

Design Inspiration

Eric Carle's Very Hungry Caterpillar is bright, colourful and a great way to start learning, that's what we wanted to see in a nursery. Baby Blue and Powder Pink a overdone, it's time for greens and reds and yellows.

Decorating Style

Plain style with colourful elements to make a theme that's not overdone. Some hand painted murals, handmade curtains, and Ikea specials.
