Sweet Carolyne’s 1st Birthday Party

Description

We wanted to have a beautiful, fun party to celebrate our sweet Carolyne turning 1! Our "theme" was "Sweet Carolyne" (like the Neil Diamond song) and included a dessert table with nothing but "sweets." We used different shades of pink and coral, along with gold and glitter accents. Most everything was DIY by mommy!

Since the party was at 10 am, we had a breakfast bar with some brunch favorites - mini pancake stacks, sausage balls, chicken salad on croissants, mini blueberry muffins, and a yogurt bar!

Design Inspiration

We based the party decor loosely on Carolyne's nursery (we love gold glitter in our house!) as well as the song "Sweet Caroline"

Project Details

Flower Arrangements: DIY (just bought the roses from our local Kroger store!)

Month-to-Month Glitter Photo Banner: DIY using unfinished frame ornaments, adhesive spray, and glitter

Sweets Table Backdrop - DIY (I made the sweet Carolyne graphic and had a vinyl banner printed at bannerbuzz.com. I just attached that to a 4x8' piece of foam insulation board - only $8 at our local hardware store. The polka dots were made using a roll of peel-and-stick vinyl and a cirlce cutter)

Cake Toppers: DIY

Guest Book: Put Me In The Story

Food Cards & Printables: DIY

Color-Your-Own Cups: Oriental Trading (comes with 3 inserts, I made 3 additional "birthday themed" inserts)
