Super Ashton’s 4th Birthday

Description

A bright and modern superhero school birthday party!

Design Inspiration

My inspiration for this party was my son's request for a superman themed birthday bash!!  I worked off the classic superman colors and based the party around the superman logo.

Decorating Style

I would describe my decorating style as streamlined and fun!!  I love to work with bright colors but I don't like things to look chaotic.  I like using a few colors and sticking with them through out the party for a more pulled together look.

Project Details

I choose red, yellow and blue for the party colors because they make up the colors for the superman logo.  I tried to work off the logo more than the action figure.  I created cute centerpieces out of plastic display cases and superman figurines which I purchased at www.ebay.com.   I love to give a statement favor and found amazing superhero capes at www.sewplainjane.com.  Jeniene at www.etsy.com/shop/ciaobambino had the perfect superhero favor tags which I tied to each cape to give a bit of personalization to the party.  The kids had the best time dressing up in their capes and I made face masks out of foam which completed their superhero attire.

Favorite Items

One of my favorite items was the cookie cake topper.  My son isn't a cake or frosting eater and every year we order him a cookie cake that is pretty much just a giant plain cookie!! Two Sugar Babies, www.etsy.com/shop/TwoSugarBabies makes the most insane fondant toppers and she was able to create a superman logo topper that was beyond perfect!!
