Design Inspiration
I wanted to create a really happy room and was inspired by my own first room, where my dad had painted elephants on walls and cupboards.
Decorating Style
Contemporary, warm and relaxed.
Project Details
I decided on a bright sun yellow stripe for the wall and combined with with a modern ochre. The elephant and giraffe are from an original 70's wallpaper created by dutch designer Inken. I searched Etsy and London flea markets for small paintings and prints and also found the cute mobile and paper butterflies on Etsy. The happy dandelion lamp is from Ikea as is the chair with an elephant pillow from the Indian souk in Dubai. I only splurged out on the bed - Its a Leander bed that can grow with the years.
Favorite Items
It has to be the bed and the wallpaper animals!

Fun and youthful colors! My favorite has to be the 3D butterflies on the wall! The mobile looks adorable, too.
