Stella Vivienne’s nursery.

Description

I wanted a space that was light, airy and filled with things meant to inspire creativity. I knew Stella, Ralph and I would spend a lot of time in here and I wanted it to be a beautiful respite.

Design Inspiration

Creating a space filled with design finds curated without a serious, straight lined inspiration. I feel like the project unfolded organically, with one find leading to another. It was definitely a labor of love.

Decorating Style

Vintage, French, Shabby Chic, Scandinavian.

Advice

Go with your design gut. Don't think you have to finish it all in one day and at one store. If you have the time and patience; sift, curate and collect "love" items over the months leading up to your birth. I so enjoyed creating this space for Stella.

    MarissaS,

Thanks so much! The best part about this room is how peaceful it is. When we first brought Stella home from the hospital she was crying and fussing. We took her into her nursery and she immediately stopped. We took that as a good sign :)

I’m sure that being in a room like this feels like you’re being transported to a different time and place.

I love everything about this room. It’s so beautiful and well thought out. My favorite piece is that gorgeous vintage daybed. I’m so jealous you found it before me :) congratulations on the birth of your daughter.
