Sophia’s Space

Description

Since my husband and I were pretty sure that we would want more than one child, we decided that we wanted a gender neutral nursery with pops of pinks. I have always been drawn to blues and greens, and wanted to keep the wall colour neutral as well.

Design Inspiration

The design inspiration for this room was really just the color scheme. I knew that I wanted blues and greens so I designed around that.

Decorating Style

I wanted a modern/contemporary nursery that I could hopefully use in the future for another baby boy or girl.

Project Details

The artwork on canvas was painted by me. I also made the curtains. The light fixture is from IKEA. The toy storage shelf is from IKEA. The shelves are from Micheal's. Bedding is an assortment - different makes. The furniture is from The Bay - Glukstein. The Glider is by Monte.

Favorite Items

My favourite item is the glider by Monte. I love it. I am looking forward to having it for years to come!

I wish my nursery looked like this! I have a little girl and were expecting a boy in February. (They will be sharing a room) Great colors and canvas artwork.

Where did you get the wall pictures? I love the one with the two polar bears since I have two winter babies!

I was hoping you would share the wall color. It appears to be a brownish gray. I am looking for something along those lines to pair with dark brown and baby blue for my son's nursery. Your website has given me sooo much inspiration! Such beautiful designs! Thank you for your help. ;-)

I was wondering where the baskets are from for the storage shelf? I was looking at the same one and love the baskets and they fit perfectly. Thanks.
