Description
Gender neutral nursery with gray walls, white birch trees, white and espresso accents and splashes of red.
Design Inspiration
This season, I'm really in love with gray and wanted a gender neutral nursery for our baby boy. I got the idea of adding the birch trees mural after feeling soothed by watching trees through a window at my prenatal yoga class and also at my husband's office.
Decorating Style
Modern, contemporary, transitional, eclectic? Actually, I enjoy looking at anything that is beautiful.
Project Details
Birch trees with red birds: wall decal from Etsy.com
Paint: Benjamin Moore Affinity paint in Storm
Rug: West Elm
Dresser: Bello Gloss from Overstock.com
Crib: Baby's Dream Infinity in Espresso
Rocker/Recliner: Monaco in Summit Dove (which actually turned out more beige than I anticipated) by Little Castle
Baskets & lamp from Fred Meyer
Book shelf & side table are garage sale finds that I painted in white.
DIY: origami mobile and a no-sew crib skirt that I made from old Ikea curtains
Favorite Items
The birch trees with the birds add a lot of drama to the room. Plus, my cats love the birds and are always trying to hunt them (when I let them in the room that is).
Advice
Deciding to go with white accents really saved me a lot of money since these items are easy to find and match.
Where did you buy the birch tree decals?
what little castle glider is that? i love it!
I too would like to know the exact link on etsy.com where you got those birch trees…. thanks!
Can you please let me know which vendor you bought these birch trees from on Etsy? I would LOVE to get them for our baby’s nursery. Thanks.
I have searched on Etsy for days to try and find these exact trees! There are so many varieties, but I LOVE these ones… might you e-mail me the vendor? (corrieandmatt2010@hotmail.com) Thanks!
Super job done here. I have always stayed away from grey thinking that it is boring and too serious for kids… but you showed me that with a little touch of creativity and some decors, you could actually have a zen room with grey colors! Thanks!

Love all the colors!!! I love how its not screaming “BABY BOY” something a little manly is way cuter to me! You did a great job! I did gray as well for our boy room. my theme was ” Just like daddy” and took all my husbands hobbies and incorporated them into the room.
