A nursery for my future daughter!
Design Inspiration
I owned the black dresser that resided in this room before I got pregnant. I was on a tight budget so I wanted to work it into the decor. However, knowing I was having a little girl I wanted to keep the overall look feminine and airy. So I neededĀ to diminish the harsh lookĀ of the black dresser by incorporating other colors and textures. The dresser forced me to bring in the other black accents but I think in the end it worked.
Decorating Style
I like a traditional feel with a modern twist! A space that makesĀ me feel comfortable but stylish!
Project Details
Black and white damask chair is from Babies R Us and is a recliner and glider....sooo comfy!!
The crib is by "Solutions" from Babies R Us.
The paint color is Benjamin Moore custom matched to the wallpaper.
The pictures above the crib were made by "Luliloola" on Etsy. A wonderful woman who worked with me to match my exact colors!
The owl imageĀ my mom stumbled uponĀ at Marshalls.
The curtains are by "Allen and Roth" from Lowes.
Crib sheets were purchased on Etsy from "Rocky Top Designs".
The damask lamp, white standing lamp, black mini chandelier, fur area rug, accent table, butterfly curtain rod,Ā Ā and build-it-yourself shelf are all from Target.
Favorite Items
The wallpaper accent wall. I had to fight my husband on this a little! He hates taking wallpaper down so we agreed to just one wall....I would have done the whole house :)
Advice
I find the rooms I love most are ones thatĀ stem from one piece that inspires me. It could be an accent pillow, picture or piece of furniture. First I need to fall in love with something and build from there!

I love the owl artwork. I have a question... Does sunlight enter the room during the day? It kinda has this gloomy feel, so I hope it's just because you took it during nighttime or you took it while the blinds are down.
