Soft and Soothing Nursery

Description

We wanted a soft and soothing gender neutral nursery for our baby boy.

Design Inspiration

The inspiration of the room was a baby lamb that was given to me when I was baby.  Although not all items in the room are lamb/sheep - most elements (fabric, treaures, accessories) are related.

Decorating Style

Traditional

Project Details

The custom bedding, drapery panels, pillows were done by http://www.thefabricco.com/ , The paintable wallpaper was also purchased at The Fabric Company in Chesterfield Missouri.  The crib was purchased at Treasure Rooms in Chesterfield Missouri.  The decal was purchased on Etsy (Open Heart Creations).

Favorite Items

There is so much I love in this room!  The bookcases have a lot of meaning to me because my dad and I built them together.  And I loved antiquing during my pregancy and finding the perfect little treasures to put on them!

Advice

This nursery was not expensive!  Most of the items (with the exception of the crib) were found at antique stores or estate sales.  I had the most fun finding all the little items for this room that have such memory and meaning.  This is my most favorite room to spend time in!

    Thank you Florence :)

    Kathy,

Thanks Kathy! They are actually wall cabinets with doors that we used for the base of the bookshelves. We wanted to use wall cabinets because of the smaller depth and limited room we had. We purchased them at Hoods.

Lovely nursery! Where did you find assemble your own bookcases with drawers on the bottom?

Wow, I love your nursery! From the soft beige and white color combination, to the gold photo frames (to veer away from the usual white-painted frames), to the other cute little details. It’s got the wow factor, at least for me.
