Sara’s Eclectic Playroom

Description

I started off Sara's playroom after she turned 1. As she got her footings strong on the ground she got very mobile and active. I wanted to create a safe place for her to explore and have plenty of space to roam around..She loves it there. It keeps her mind and tiny hands occupied for a good couple of hours..New toys keep adding up but both of us can't part with her old ones, so we are glad we have plenty of space to store all her treasures..It's a space for her and i don't mind being there myself for countless hours..Keeping it fun and functional was my priority.

Design Inspiration

My inspiration was Sara's own playful and active personality. She is full of life. She loves color and mix of patterns and shapes. I wanted to give her same level of energy at her play area.

Advice

Shop around, Collect things over the time and do bring souvenirs from  your travels across the globe. Try to find cute stuff from everywhere and do not stick yourself only to the kids stores. I found great things at World Market,  Westelm, Target, Ikea, Anthropologie and crate and barrel. Do not forget local stores around your neighborhood. Always keep an eye on small details..they count. A project do not require a whole lot of money but it does require a whole lot of shopping around..What fun do we have as mothers :)
