This dream nursery has wall to wall handpainted murals. Even the louvered closet doors are painted. I painted the images with soft tones, but realistic images. The little boy is nearly 3 and still loves his room
Design Inspiration
The parents knew the colors they wanted - soft greens & blues. They also knew they wanted animals, but not cartoonish and not too bold.
Decorating Style
I'm an artist & paint for any style. But I'm well known for my realism.
Project Details
Everything in the room was custom. From my painting, to the changing table - which was an old cabinet that I repainted to match the room.
Even the bedding and glider rocker upholstery were custom made.
Favorite Items
I love the blue hyacinth parrots.
Advice
Give it a try. People always say, "I can't draw a stick figure." There are lots of tools and products to help people paint their own murals now.
I'd Google 'Images" and search different nursery paintings to get inspiration.

This room is clearly a labor of love. Imagine having to handpaint the entirety of the room's walls. I love the muted or soft colors, too. It makes the room calming and relaxing.
