Description
A tiny space (150sq') converted into a peaceful, cozy, comfortable baby room.
Design Inspiration
It started with the bedding - I love pattern and hate baby blue. It was surprisingly hard to find a patterned bedding for a boy that didn't have any baby blue in it. When I found this set at Target the rest of the room came together around the colors.
Decorating Style
Dramatic Modern. I like clean lines, simple silhouettes, natural materials and bold colors. I also love Pattern -- stripes, dots, squares -- it's fun to mix and match.
Project Details
The furniture is Morieau-Lepine, The Glider is Dutalier. The crib bedding is by Babylicious and the mobile is by Tiny Love both from Target.com.
I took three cards from Wee Gallery and framed them in Ikea frames. The designs are black and white and really stand out in the room.
We also put a lot of shelves and hook in the closet. With such a small room, it really helped to keep the clutter to a minimum.
Favorite Items
The set of airplanes over the dresser. They are by Skårtshop and were a gift from the artist. Sacha LOVES his planes.
They are the perfect combination of simple and bright. They are handprinted on real birch wood which goes great with the modern nursery furniture.
Advice
Don't be afraid of color or to go dark even in a small space. The lime green stripe adds the bright to the room but you will also notice that we brought the white of the celing down a few feet this helps keep an airy feeling even with the Navy walls.

Sacha looks so cute rummaging for the toys!!! So love those airplanes too, and the whole room in general. Great work on the clean and modern look for this room
