Description
I knew when I was pregnant with my daughter that I wanted to a nursery that was fun, playful, creative and not too gender specific....after all, I did want to be able to re-use most of the items with a second baby and also pick furniture that would be in our home forever and transition into a bigger child's room. I was also excited to have a blend of vintage but functional pieces - a nursery that was a bit more unexpected, had some character and pieces that had more soul to them. I worked with Toronto-based Interior Design firm Draw Me a Sheep Inc. They really understood my concept and inspiration from the beginning and made the project a really fun, smooth experience.
Design Inspiration
I really wanted to use teal/aqua and red colors as the base, mix that in with lots of rainbow colors for the accents. Vintage circus was what kept crossing my mind :)
Decorating Style
I love vintage, function and color. I also love to mix different prints and textures.

Such a charming room for your girl. I love all the handmade touches, like the felt mobile and the fabric flowers on the wall.
