This is the nursery I made for my second son. I was inspired by some whale fabric I found at a local fabric shop. Being on a budget, I wanted to do most things by hand. All the decor was made by myself and my sister.
My inspiration came from Robert Kaufman's Urban Zoologie Blue Whale fabric that I found at a local fabric shop. To read more about my inspiration visit http://www.lilmrstori.com/2012/07/ryans-nursery-reveal.html
I like things very simple and classic. I was a little afraid to go with the dark blue walls but once it was completed I loved how it made my white furniture pop.
All of my project details are listed on my blog post http://www.lilmrstori.com/2012/07/ryans-nursery-reveal.html
I really loved the artwork my sister made for me. She used Photoshop and added the same whales from the fabric on the piece. I also loved how my diaper change cover turned out. It was my first time attempting to make one. It was so easy to make and saved me $30.00!
Don't be afraid to try to make some of the things for the nursery yourself. You maybe surprised how it turns out and you might end up liking it more than a store bought item!
