Rustic Woodland Owl Nursery

Description

A woodland world of rustic repose.

Design Inspiration

My husband and I moved to Vancouver, BC. a few years ago and fell in love with the organic and outdoorsy feel of the Pacific Northwest.  We wanted our nursery to be an inviting space for us and baby which reflected our love for the West Coast highlighting rustic and organic elements with practical space saving solutions for our now small apartment in Toronto.

Decorating Style

Shabby, chic with an element of whimsy.

Advice

We wanted to create a space that was relaxing to us but would inspire our child's imagination.  Be creative, try new things and don't be afraid to add a few whimsical items here and there.  You don't have to spend a lot of money to achieve this look so hunt in your local antique store, shop on craigslist etc.

This room is awesome! I like the organic and rustic feel. You got some really cool items there and everything is just in its proper place. You really got some interior decorating talent.

There are a lot of items here I really find lovely and quite unique: those little galvanized pails serving as a storage bins, that terrarium, that tree stump table, the wooden owl mobile, those toy organizers, and the other accessories.
