Royalty Meets the One Year Old Princess Birthday

Description

A royal, gold and pink birthday party for our one-year-old princess!

Design Inspiration

Pinterest! I found a beautiful birthday celebration for a girl’s party on Pinterest and immediately fell in love with everything about it. I literally, from that click on my mouse, started searching and sourcing to make my daughter’s birthday party almost the exact theme. What’s that saying, “imitation is the best form of flattery.” Was it over the top, maybe. Was it the sweetest one year old birthday party, absolutely!

Decorating Style

I would classify my style as Hollywood Regency. Everything about our home décor and generally most of our birthday parties and celebrations exudes a touch of glam, elegance, and sophistication.

Favorite Items

Honestly, I can't narrow it down to one item.  Everything about her 1st birthday party was my favorite because I was committed to making it exactly like I envisioned.  Thankfully, it all worked out and the celebration was simply royal!

Advice

If you have a vision, go for it! Don’t let anyone deter you from planning the party of your dreams. Don’t be afraid to get creative and utilize your resources. This was primarily a DIY party and it took a lot more time than I expected but it was so worth it. Additionally, I enlisted the help of a few friends for the DIY projects and the baking.

To save money, I always used coupons at AC Moore, Michael’s, Party City and even found a few items at the Dollar Tree.  You can turn anything pretty with a can of spray paint! And don’t forget…enjoy the party!
