I wanted to create a room that didnt look like a baby's room. My husband rides motorcycles and off road vehicles so I also wanted to incorporate his interests in the room as well. My first decision was the fabric for the bedding, grey and white chevron and orange. I love the grey wall color in nurseries so the wall color was decided long before we found out what we were having.
I had a lot of fun decorating this room and searching for the perfect pieces.
I got most of my inspiration room ProjectNursery, Pinterest, Etsy & Polkatotdesigns websites.
My style is fun, fresh and easy!
9 Cube shelving : Target
White 4 drawer shelf: Hobby Lobby but I already had it.
Orange plastic toy bin: Walmart and had a friend paint it.
Owl lamp: Target.com
All fabric is from fabric.com @ $7.98/yard!
Etsy: gear wall decal, turquoise owl, pop art prints of truck & motorcycle, zig zag basket & Boppy pillow cover
Frames: Hobby Lobby, Goodwill, Target
ABC picture: Hobby Lobby
Ebay: vintage Tonka trucks
Sprockets (gears): my husbands garage that's full of motorcycle parts
My mother & I made liners for drawers and bedding.
Paint color: Disney paint @ Home Depot " Mickeys Shadow"
All the chevron print fabrics.
It took me all 9 months to create this room on a budget. I picked up things here and there and bought things second hand too. I liked so many different styles of boys nurseries but in the end I went with my first love, chevrons!!

I think that the wall color is too dark for a nursery, which is why it is great that you have all those touches of bright colors there to balance it out
