Reed’s Surfer Nursery

Description

We wanted to create a room that Reed could grow into that wasn't too baby-ish.

Design Inspiration

Since we both love the beach we picked a surfer theme.

Decorating Style

Bright cheerful colors with fun decor accents.

Project Details

Decor: Decals were from Etsy. They were a great price, came quickly, and although a little hard to get on they are worth the trouble. We had the long-board already so that fit perfectly. The lifeguard boogie board was from Marshals. The surfboard poster was from Amazon. The turtle and "Gone Surfing" metal art were both from Garden Ridge. The surfboard clock was from Amazon. The R made out of crayons was a gift made by my sister Rachel. The "Hang Ten" and "Endless Summer" metal signs and the surfboard rug was also from Amazon.

Furniture: Daybed, we had since I was a kid. Crib, was used from my sister now that her son has outgrown his. The brand is Storkcraft. Changing Table/Dresser, was purchased from a nearby consignment store. Bookshelf, was cheap from Target.

Favorite Items

That's a hard one but I would probably say the wall decal with Reed's name. I think it makes the room.

Advice

You don't have to spend a lot of money to create a great room. We only spent around $200 on everything in this room. Of course having some used furniture helped with the budget.

Very cool room. I love the sea turtle artwork. And oh, good luck on your delivery. We'd have the same birthday if he'd born on his due date ;)
